Deep, substantial, and frequent engagement with the New Testament is essential to Christian theological and ethical formation. Most people are more familiar with the New Testament in one of its thousands of vernacular translations, but the church needs leaders and teachers who are competent to interpret the message on the basis of the Greek text. Working directly and regularly with the Greek New Testament helps us to develop and retain essential skills for exegesis. In order to reach these pedagogical aims, we need access to the entire Greek New Testament or to significant portions of it. This book fulfills such a need by combining the Greek text with introductions for studying Mark, Romans, and 1 John.
